Election Day 2004
Students
staged an all-school election...
...complete
with campaign speeches...
...presented
to receptive audiences.
Questions
on the ballot included whether or not skaters should have to wear safety
equipment like bicyclists have to; whether or not the school week should
be changed to four days; whether the airplane, telephone, or light bulb
should be named the greatest invention.
Voters
definitely had their opinions.
The
ballot box was ready...
...and voting booths were set up.
Sixth
graders verified voters' eligibility and handed out ballots.
Students
enjoyed participating in the democratic process firsthand...
...sixth
grader...
...and
first grader alike.
American
red, white, and blue...
..."I
Have Voted" stickers, too!
