WEEKLY CHAPELS

 

All students, kindergarten through sixth grade, gather in the sanctuary for chapel each Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend chapels.

Individual classes, the choir, and school bands present programs during the year. Guest speakers are also featured. Chapel lessons are used to enrich and expand the Biblical truths being taught in the classroom. The school-wide monthly key verse and character trait are also emphasized during chapels.

September

There is only one true God.
Isaiah 43:11 - "I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior."

Character Trait: Self-Discipline
October

The Bible is God's Word and the source of all truth.
II Timothy 3:16,17 - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Character Trait: Responsibility/Work

November

Man was created by God.
Psalm 100:3 - "Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture."

Character Trait: Friendship
December

Everyone is sinful by nature and cannot save himself.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Character Trait: Compassion

January

God's gift of salvation is through Jesus.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

February

Salvation is by grace and not works.
Ephesians 2:8,9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."

March

As believers we will live to please the Lord.
Deuteronomy 6:5 - "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

April

A believer will pray.
Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

May

Believers can stand against temptations.
I Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

June

God is our steadfast comfort.
Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave nor forsake you."
